Political Defence?

The first name i investigated out of the seemingly random politicians suspectly given knighthoods and OBEs' was Lindsay Hoyle, who is in charge of taxation, but most importantly the general committees of the UK. This could effect the great repeal bill, as bills are processed faster through this method. Sadly daughter died this week, and could be a hurdle to Lindsay and the bill.
The europeans likely want to use the bill to undermine britain, but could they reach a politicians daughter, would they? What would they want to change ?
Politics does use systems where people who are in charge of sections of bills are made to do something against their good instincts by political pressure, and they can cover their tracks easily because of lack of efficiencies in government under stress, as in it will be found later on in the process when it has already been too late. I dont think this happened however, that is merely the possibility, he likely gained the honour because of his loss or that he didnt bow to the europeans.
I found many powerful people on the list, some who had lots of tory support. I believe that Theresa May has used these honours to gain strength among her conservative peers in regards to a vote of no confidence. John Curtis, a distinguished academic, could be on that list so that he doesn't start a leadership election by polling the public. He is a leader in that industry of polling and he could be a threat to theresa may, hence the honours. Two others, graham brady and christopher chope, are people with influence in the conservative party, and with their support they can be invaluable to theresa may. These, including another, Geoffrey Brown, are all establishment typicals and now with the result that TeamA(y) will be stepping down we might just get these people being investigated for some kind of chicanery, douchebaggery and bribery. Nuff Said. Buenos Dias.
