Festival World

There is lots of things to say about festivals, travelling on the road, for instance, is long, but there is a lot of possiblilty and aspiration for the destination . when your a festival trader.the journey to festival work is more centred, focused, and less energised. when you get there you are transported from motorway world into instant action, a flurry of market bars and tarps, till you get a metal and plastic base built. a very open shelter, i will admit, one that could blow away at any time. you don't know any of this is happening in at a festival but there is a long time when the field is empty and you can see as far as the trees will let you, and overnight there are colourful stalls that pop up and add that dimention that seems like an immutable presence in the festival.

soon in this job you start to see the festival without the rose tinted goggles, not in a negative way, thats part of the fervour, but in a way that is real, you see people as entities (cause they are just running on emotion) and others like you as fellow banditos.

Anyway its a fun game to be in and there is money to be made, but not everyone can handle it, you have to be one step ahead of your opponent at all times, and you have to be ready for negotioation or a fight of people get too lary and drunk, but all in all its a fun job and a great way of getting to know what people are really like.

theywant to be, exaggerated
